Unidentified Family, Chattanooga, Tennessee, early 1900s
My grandparents had dozens, even hundreds, of photos from relatives everywhere, and there were a lot of relatives. Like many of those photos, this one was unidentified. I've done some research on the photographer, whose name was on the frame as A. W. Judd, Chattanooga. This turns out to be Amos W. Judd, who had a studio in Chattanooga at least from 1890 (in the city directory) through 1920 (in the 1900, 1910, and 1920 census). He was deceased by 1930. I also did some research on the fashions of the day. The watch pinned to the blouse that the woman is wearing came into its own in the 1900-1910 time period. I believe the photo is from this period or slightly later.
